I thought
i might make a few suggestions to simplify some things while planning for this big day. The most complaints i listen
to is about the dresses chosen for the bridesmaid. one is.... strapless does not work for everyone! The
law of gravity wins for the most part. The bridesmaids have a lot of responsibilities during this period. Which
can get very costly for them. The best and happiest bridesmaids i've met were the ones that were able to choose their
style of dress and what fits them comfortable. The brides will choose a color or print and then they can choose the
style. Most of the bridesmaid dresses ordered from bridal shops can be very pricey, and very rarely will they
ever be worn again. Unless they are bought off the rack, they need to be ordered, taking the chance of it coming in
to big or small. A suggestion i have made for years, many of the department stores have beautifully evening wear, with
numerous sizes. Allot of times you can get them on sale, and if they don't have the right fit, they can always to a
search with there other stores. These dresses are usually better made and the bridal party will be able to try
them on, resulting in a better fit and with little alterations needing to be done. If for any reason there's a
change in things, the dress is returnable.
Once
the dress is chosen and purchased, there may be some alterations needed. if the bride requires it to be of a certain length,
try choosing as an example, 1" above knee or 2" right below knee. Remember everone is a different hieght and if
you say, "18" off the floor" It will be a different length on the girls depending upon thier hieght.
But be sure to come to an agreement before the alterations begin.
